The following questions and answers are designed to provide an understanding of Reunion Golf & Country Club and the membership opportunity available. If you are interested in applying for membership in Reunion Golf & Country Club, it is recommended that you review the Club's Plan for the Offering of Memberships and Rules and Regulations documents prior to the application process.1. What is Reunion Golf & Country Club?
Reunion Golf & Country Club is an exclusive private country club located in Madison, Mississippi organized to provide golf, tennis, swimming, exercise and clubhouse facilities combined with outstanding programs, activities and services for its members and their guests. In order to provide exclusivity and availability of facilities and services to its members, the Club is offering a limited number of memberships by invitation only.
2. What facilities will be available for use at Reunion Golf & Country Club?
The "Club Facilities" include the following:
- an eighteen-hole golf course designed by Bob Cupp;
- golf practice facilities including a practice range, short game area, and putting green;
- a fitness/swim/tennis complex including multiple tennis courts, a swimming pool, 24 hour fitness center and a grill/bar/lounge building offering lunch everyday and dinner on Friday nights, and
- a clubhouse consisting of dining facilities and lounge, a golf shop, men's and women's locker room facilities, golf club storage area, administrative offices and patio/deck areas
No. The Club Facilities will initially be owned and operated by Reunion Golf & Country Club, LLC, a Mississippi limited liability company, doing business as Reunion Golf & Country Club (the "Club") as a right-to-use facility. The membership opportunity allows the member to use the Club Facilities in accordance with the membership classification selected and does not provide the member with any equity or ownership interest in the Club or the Club Facilities provided at Reunion Golf & Country Club.
4. What types of memberships are available at Reunion Golf & Country Club?
The Club will initially make available four classifications of non-equity membership known as "Full Memberships", "Sports Memberships", and "Non-Resident Memberships" (collectively, the "Club Memberships").
5. How many Club Memberships are available?
In order to provide continued enjoyment of the Club Facilities to all members of the Club, the maximum number of outstanding dues-paying Full Memberships is limited to five hundred ninety. In the event the Club adds additional holes of golf to the Club Facilities, then the maximum number of Full Memberships may be increased by the Club by an additional three hundred Full Memberships for each additional nine holes of golf made available to Full Members.
Although the maximum number of Sports Memberships and Non-Resident Memberships is not initially limited, the Club reserves the right to limit the number of Sports Memberships and/or Non-Resident Memberships at any time in its sole discretion.
6. How does the membership application process work?
A prospective member desiring a Club Membership must deliver to the Membership Director or Club Manager at Reunion Golf & Country Club a fully completed and signed Application for Membership Privileges, the appropriate Membership Agreement and the required membership deposit or membership fee.
The Club and/or its Membership Board shall evaluate the Applications for Membership Privileges. After receiving the Application for Membership Privileges, the appropriate Membership Agreement and the required membership deposit or membership fee, the evaluation will be conducted with the intent and purpose of securing the optimum number of members with compatible social, vocational and professional attainment from all segments of the community. The Club retains the right to accept or reject any or all applications.
An applicant approved for membership will be notified in writing that the Application for Membership Privileges has been acted upon favorably. In the event an Application for Membership Privileges is not acted upon favorably, the applicant will be so notified in writing and the Club shall refund to the applicant the actual membership deposit or membership fee previously paid to the Club, without interest, within ten days.
7. What does a prospective member pay to obtain membership privileges at Reunion Golf & Country Club?
To obtain a Full Membership, Sports Membership or Non-Resident Membership in Reunion Golf & Country Club, the applicant shall pay a membership deposit to the Club.
The amount of the membership deposit and membership fee and the manner of payment of the membership deposit and membership fee shall be established by the Club from time to time, and is further described in the Members Application for Membership Privileges or Membership Agreement.
8. Are Club Memberships transferable?
Club Members may not sell, transfer or otherwise assign their membership privileges except to the Club, and therefore, Club Members may not transfer or otherwise assign their Club Membership at Reunion Golf & Country Club directly to any third party.
9. Is any portion of the membership deposit or membership fee refundable?
The Club shall repay to Full Members, Sports Members, and Non-Resident Members 100% of the actual membership deposit previously paid to the Club for the membership (excluding any amounts credited to the members or waived by the Club at the time the membership was obtained) as set forth in the member's Membership Agreement, without interest, thirty years from the date the member's Membership Agreement is executed by the Club.
10. Can Full Members, Sports Members and Non-Resident Members be paid any portion of the membership deposit prior to the expiration of the thirty-year period?
Upon the resignation of a Full Membership, Sports Membership and Non-Resident Membership prior to the expiration of the thirty-year period, the resigned member may elect to be paid a Transfer Payment described below in lieu of receiving 100% of the actual membership deposit previously paid upon expiration of the thirty-year period. If the resigned member elects this option, the Club shall pay to the resigned member the Transfer Payment within thirty days after the resigned membership is reissued by the Club to a successor member (excluding the transfer of a membership to a surviving spouse upon the death of a member or any transfer of a membership to a spouse upon the divorce of a member), who has been approved for membership and paid the required membership deposit in full to the Club.
The amount of the Transfer Payment to be paid by the Club to a resigned member upon the reissuance of a resigned membership will initially be 75% of the actual membership deposit previously paid to the Club for the membership.
11. Can members be assessed for operating deficits?
No. Club Members are not subject to assessments for any operating deficits incurred in the operation of the Club Facilities.
